BAMS

Duration of Course:- The courses of studies to the BAMS shall be 5 years Six months comprising-

From the session 2021-22 to onwards :- 

1st Professional :- 18 Months
2nd Professional :- 18 Months
3rd Professional :- 18 Months
Compulsory Rotary Internship :- 12 Months
 

Up to session 2020-21 to onwards :- 

1st Professional :- 12 Months
2nd Professional :- 12 Months
3rd Professional :- 12 Months
Final Professional :- 18 Months
Compulsory Rotary Internship :- 12 Months

Degree to be awarded :-

Ayurvedacharya (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery – B.A.M.S.) The candidate shall be awarded Ayurvedacharya (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery – B.A.M.S.) degree after passing all  the final examination, after completion of prescribed course of study extending over; prescribed period and  the compulsory rotator internship extending over twelve months ,by the university.

Medium of Instruction:-

The medium of instruction for the course shall be Sanksrit or Hindi or English.

Dr. Sarvepali Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur is the first Ayurved University of Rajasthan and is the second University of it's kind in India, . The Dr. Sarvepali Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University was established by DSRRAU Act -2002 (Act No. 15 of 2002) which came into force w.e.f. may 24, 2003 vide Gazette Notification no. F25 (6) Ay. /2000 dated May 24,2003. This university has now affiliated all the 44 colleges/institutions of Ayurved, Unani, Homeopathy, and about 7000 students are pursuing their UG, PG, Diploma and Doctoral Studies. This university is conducting the admission to its degree courses through Joint Entrance Test at National level/ State level.

Vice Chancellor :-

Prof. Abhimanyu Kumar, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor is still young at the age of 60 years. Ayurved College, Udaipur or at National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur where he worked for more than 37 years of his service period. Patients used to wait for long hours for their turn to obtain his consultation daily at his OPD units.
